This premium lace-weight yarn is spun in Peru from 100% fine baby alpaca wool. Selected exclusively from the first shearing of adult alpacas, the fibers measure between 19 to 21 microns, guaranteeing cloud-like softness with none of the itchiness associated with sheep wool.
Because alpaca hair is naturally hollow, it creates an insulating thermal barrier that keeps you exceptionally warm in winter while remaining breathable during milder seasons. Alpaca wool contains no lanolin, making it naturally hypoallergenic, odor-resistant, and gentle for babies and sensitive skin.
